ART + PUBLIC ENGAGMENT
Sophie Corben Griffin is Senior Film Design Lecture @ St Marys University and Digital Lecture @ Kingston College.
Her research is rooted in public engagement: community workshops and collaborative projects, that invite audiences to become co-creators. Recent projects have explored themes of environment, displacement, and belonging. Currently, Sophie is working a project which focuses on the male gaze (a feminist film theory concept coined by Laura Mulvey in 1975), and how teenage girls are represented today's cinema, media, and social media.
Sophie’s has also worked with Orlean House Gallery and has created workshops including this online workshop Introducing Architectural Photography. Link below :
